Sewer Line Repair in Glendale
Having a sewer line free of clogs and leaks is important to you as a homeowner, not only as a matter of convenience, but also as a matter of health and safety. Most parts of the East Valley could be described as being urban and/or suburban, rather than rural. This means that homes and businesses are closely packed together. In these areas, it becomes feasible to construct a sewer system to handle a large amount of wastewater that is produced by the community. As a result, it is even more important to have a plumbing company on hand that knows how to handle residential sewer lines.
At Rainforest Plumbing & Air, we offer sewer line repair in Glendale backed by over 20 years of experience. Our team is fully licensed, insured, and background-checked for your comfort and safety, and we have a reputation across the area for getting the job done right and we strive to complete every plumbing, drain, and sewer repair ASAP, offering same-day service whenever possible. How Do Sewer Systems Work?
The purpose of the sewer system is three-fold: collection, transportation, and treatment. In an ideal situation, gravity is the only necessary force in the collection and transportation of wastewater. The sewer lines that lead from the home to the sewer main below the street are angled downward. The sewer main is set up in the same way and extends into increasingly larger pipes until it ends up at the treatment plant, which is generally located in a low-lying area.
Once the wastewater reaches the plant, it undergoes a series of treatment stages. First, it is allowed to settle so that the heavy and light solids can separate – the same idea behind septic tanks. Next, it is treated to remove organic materials through the use of bacteria, much like Bio-Clean. Finally, it is treated with chemicals to remove any remaining contaminants and bacteria, and then discharged with no harmful effects to the surrounding community.
What Are Typical Causes of a Problem with My Home Sewer System?
Home sewage problems generally happen in the form of a back-up in your sewer line, which runs to the main line below the street. Excessive amounts of organic waste can cause these back-ups, though in truth, there are a number of things that may contribute to sewer line clogs and damage.
Your Glendale sewer line may need repairs due to problems stemming from:
Excessive amounts of paper products (pads, cotton balls, paper towels, “flushable” wipes, etc.)
Grease, oils, and fats
Sediment and debris build-up
Rainforest Plumbing & Air technicians are trained to locate and clear sewer line back-ups, in addition to providing repairs to get your sewer lines flowing again before you know it. While sewer excavation is traditionally a long and difficult job, we promise to do everything we can to access your lines as fast as we can, causing as little disruption to your property as possible in the process. We understand that a clogged sewer is not something anyone wants to have to deal with, but with the help of our cutting-edge tools and technology, we will make sure your sewer system is operational again sooner rather than later.
What Are Trenchless Sewer Repairs?
“Trenchless” sewer and drain repairs refer to plumbing line repairs that are done without creating a huge trench in your yard. How is this possible? While traditional, “excavation” sewer repairs rely on extensive digging to access your lines, trenchless service allows us access underground lines by simply creating two holes. After we have located the exact problem spot in your sewer line by performing a video inspection, we remove a small amount of pipe on both ends of the affected line. Next, we fit our advanced pipe bursting equipment into one of those two holes. Once this equipment is fed down the hole and inside your line, it will begin to lay new HDPE plastic pipe. A bursting head is attached to the front of this new, seamless plastic piping material, and pulled through your existing pipeline until it reaches the hole on the other end of your line. The end result is to fuse together a replacement drain/sewer line, while breaking up the old one in the process.
